Thank God for Pawn Shops - NGD Warmoth Telecaster

Found this at a local pawn shop on way home yesterday; priced at $300, offered $250 and brought it home. Plays and sounds quite nice; '59 Neck Shape, 12" Radius, Jumbo 6100 Frets showing no wear, bound ash body - it's got some weight to it, not light by any means, EMG Tele Set, Gold Hardware, Schaller Straplocks, Birdseye Maple Neck...

Totally agree. The sales guy was a guitar player and knew what it was but was blowing it out to get some money for KORN Tix. He told me it roared and played nice. Lucky me.

Wow! Best $250 anyone has spent in this forum in a while. They even threw in a free $700 guitar with the wired pickguard you bought.

Ha! I figured it was worth about $750 when I saw it and asked them to pull it out for me. Def stood out from the crowd in the tiny pawn shop on South Broadway. Came with a Freedom HSC too.

Nice! Congrats!

Sent from my iPad using a bunch of electrons, copper, and probably some fiber optic cable

Perfect timing too as I just sold a LTD KH-503 Project for about the same price.

Really nice score. Congrats!
Also is it just me ir are some of those bridge saddle screws waaay too long?

Re: Thank God for Pawn Shops - NGD Warmoth Telecaster

Nice score..
you Yanks get all the luck.
We dont have a pawn culture in the uk.... only a porn culture. Lol.

Gotta ask, what's the deal with the intonation screws ?

Are those humbucker height screws?

Re: Thank God for Pawn Shops - NGD Warmoth Telecaster

Tis a beaut she is, she is. I agree that you got a sweet deal and what looks like a pretty sweet axe. Congratulations on the score!

Re: Thank God for Pawn Shops - NGD Warmoth Telecaster

Five of the intonation screws are approximately twice as long as they need to be. I can think of no guitar hardware OEM who would supply screws that much over length as stock.

Re: Thank God for Pawn Shops - NGD Warmoth Telecaster

Ha. Not a clue on the screws. Here I was going to try to find a couple more uber long screws so I had a full set. ;) I'm just enjoying NGD and playing it right now.

Man that's a steal! The best pawnshop score I've seen for a long while.

Re: Thank God for Pawn Shops - NGD Warmoth Telecaster

Thanks! Did almost as well w/the Strat price from a private seller that was frustrated w/the Floyd and just wanted to get rid of it; don't think it helped that it was set up and strung for a "Lefty"!!!
