anyone have any experience with it? I got offered for a trade of my Peavey 5150 and I am looking for a smaller amp but I don't want to say no to this person especially if it is alright of an amp. so if any of you have one I have a question.

DOES IT DO METAL no ifs or buts lol

No, if you want metal tones, keep the 5150. You won't be happy with the THD.

Don't understand how somebody seeking a modern metal tone could be unhappy with a 5150.

Epi, are you looking for less wattage, less space taken up or what? Both the amps you've been asking about are not as metal as the one you have by far. If you're looking for less power and less size, I would suggest getting a vypyr. There's a pro model out now, and you can probably get it in a head form.

Re: THD UniValve 15 watt head.

Just get some THD yellow jackets to reduce the power of the 5150.

I know... I am looking for smaller sized and lower watts... But I might be trading it for a guitar soon so I don't have to worry about that.
