And a couple of great amps and a lot of cool effects.... Some of the best tone I have heard from a Telecaster..

His Telecaster neck tone is what sold me on getting a Telecaster.

Specifically, his tone on "Little Girl," from the Disfarmer album.

If you have 99 cents in your pocket, buy that song, and fall in love with Bill Frisell.

I love his sound, it's so perfect and organic. Hes the main reason I want a telecaster..

His Tele-neck-pickup jazz tone rang a big bell for me --- I had thought, all these years, that the Tele only does one sound, but then it dawned on me --- THERE IS A WHOLE 'NOTHER PICKUP

My old Jazz teacher plays a Tele. He's a big fan of Frisell. I don't remember if it's a semi or full hollow. I couldn't believe the tone when I first heard him play it, especially from a Tele. He's got some custom, boutique bucker in it too though. TimmyPage, he's from Toronto. You guys must know Jazz up there. LOL
