Paisley, of course.

But seriously I think the tri-color sunburst is a Strat icon, can't really go wrong with it. Ironically, the only colors that just don't work for me are another Fender iconic look, the surf pastels. Too baby toy looking. Those and Gibson's TV yellow, I just can't get into them.

Candy orange with a maple board and pearl white pg/white hardware. I have one and am still quite taken with it almost ten years later.

Shell pink with maple board and white pg/hardware. It has to be a more coral type of pink though.

Gunmetal gray, like the one Clapton played.

Candy apple red. Maple neck pearl white pg/white hardware

My latest obsession is carvin's radiation green. Basically a candy/metallic green. Can you guess the rest?

Whatever color the stage lights are reflecting in it.

I love the Jimi Hendrix white, and the classic black with the white pick guard and hardware.
Never been fond of the bursts, even though it's a classic look.

I'm doing my build in natural wood with a clearcoat. Not traditional, but a look that I love.

I would go with Fiesta Red, Coral or Shell Pink as long as the color does not clash with tolex on my Rotten Johnny amp or my mauve shirt !!!

These strats I've seen are all backwards.

Obviously paisley is best. But I have two. And neither are paisley. one is a 88 MIJ Oly White that has faded to cream and has a tort guard. The other is a 17 Seafoam Green Frankenstrat with a Clapton boost circuit under a white guard.

Another one I like the color of, is the sapphire blue/gold combo of my 1982 'The Strat'. The blue actually has gold metalflake in it.
