The best color for a Strat

Some people like thier Strats black.

Some like White. Some red.

And some people prefer the natural beauty of a burst. And of course there are those that like the wilder, more custom colors, like Daphne blue, sonic blue, shell pink, surf green, seafoam green...

But what about you? Do you read the entirety of the post at the beginning of a thread before you post a reply? Based on what I've seen, I suspect most of you don't. If you have actually read all of this, reply with "paisley" and then sit back and see how many people glance and the subject line alone and rush in to declare their favorite strat color.

Paisley.......FTW! Seriously though, I've grown more towards a nice quilted or flamed maple top with a nice trans finish on it over the years.

Re: The best color for a Strat

It doesnt matter what color, because it looks best after years of rugged abuse when its so battle scarred and stained by coffee and bear that it just looks like an ancient piece of wood channeling the sounds of battles long forgotten under the Titans' rule

My personal faves are:

  • Lake Placid Blue w/rosewood fretboard and mint green pickguard
  • Fiesta Red w/rosewood fretboard and mint green pickguard
  • Daphne Blue w/maple fretboard and white pickguard
  • intage White w/rosewood fretboard and mint green or white pickguard

gold sparkle.

Bonamassa's strat that just sold at the Clapton auction is one of my all time favorites.
