why do you say it's fake? the only thing I can see is the truss rod cover, but that could've been changed.

compared to my sg...
sn is a bigger font
binding should look more aged(mine is a 96 and shows more age)
input jack looks to be further in the body
gibson logo and other design on headstock dont look like inlays
...what else am i missing

Check the spacing too. The rest of that can be chalked up to bad pictures, but the spacing is a dead giveaway.

Serial number is wrong, that's be a 96 and he says it's a 92.

the 'guess whats wrong with this guitar' is a great game to play. hopefully noobs will read this and play along, as a couple of years ago i too was a noob and won an auction for a les paul only to get a couple of emails from very nice ebayers telling me not to buy that fake gibby. looking back i can also say i was very lucky that my sg i got from the bay was legit, as back then i knew even less.

Good, one I didn't catch that. Gibson uses messed up format.
I usually don't pay much attention to serial numbers, since they can be faked and copied, sometimes sellers make an honest mistake in the auction. There are ALWAYS structural differences in these fakes. That is usually what I concentrate on.

I usually report the auction and then message the seller he's been found out. Telling them it's reported is usually enough for the seller to end the auction.

i thought the sn goes the 1st # and the 5th # = year. if thats the case 92 should be accurate, if not my sg is 5yrs older than i thought it was
