So, is the AHB1 bridge pickup the same as the neck pickup, like an EMG 81/81 or is the combo more of an 81/85 or 81/60?

I've got a blackouts set in a Kramer Vanguard PRO that used to have a 85/81 set in.
To my ears, the differences between the neck/bridge Blackouts are similar to the differences between the 85 and 81. The neck Blackout sounds like a different pickup to the bridge model, rather than just a 'neck version'.
That said, the set don't sound the same as the 85/81 set. There are similarities, it's the same vibe. Both the EMGs and the Blackouts are great pickups.

Ive both pickups. I use EMG 85 as bridge and 81 as neck. Ive a few blackouts aswell. Been looking for a new blackout bridge PU as the one i had broke, seems like the only ones used are ahb1 necks. Might try that one as bridge, as it is similar to an 85.
