Re: the bogner is not working out too well for me. any suggestions?
i took it to a friend of mine house and played through his cab. and it made a world of difference. his cab is a 2x12 with vintage 30's. there was alot more bottom end there which suprised me because it was an open back cab. i have no problem trying to get new speakers. i am just trying to decide if its worth it. i like the uber alot. but since i play so many styles of music. i play every thing from coc to tool to zztop and clapton. so i need something that could cover all those. i am wondering if i should just try to sell it or trade it for something that will do good cleans and blues with so gain then just throw a pedal in front to get heavier sounds. i owned both of the new marshalls which were good but the jvm needed too much tweaking and the vintage modern messed up. before i bought the uber i started to just get another jcm 800 or a jmp. then i decided to try bogner since i have heard so much. i wanted a shiva but all the ones i found were 6l6 at the time. i looked at splawn but the ones on ebay so so fast. and the wait time was too long. i needed an amp as soon as possible.
