The boss Phase Shifter PH-3

I am thinking of buying a boss phase shifter PH-3 on ebay,


I heard it on a few clips on youtube, has a variety of sounds, but a bit too digital/space sounding for me,

how does it compare to most phaser pedals within its price range,


To those who tried it or has one, any reviews and opinions on it,

for roughly the same price, see your other thread for something *much* better sounding but the same color

I tried it briefly and didn't like it much. It seemed to alter my tone. Plus I feel Flangers are sweeter sounding pedals than Phase Shifters are.

I hated it to begin with but it grew on me. It is a more spacey phaser then a phase 90 or small stone seems to have more sparkle or something. I like the 8 and 10 stage modes for arpeggios and stuff. Listen to the verse clean guitar of the song on my bands myspace Hold Me Close Again and the first solo has the phaser before distortion or stuff by The Vines I can get similar to some of that phasery tone with it.

I have one and like it. It's better than the other Boss phasers I've owned/used and much better than the last Phase 90 I had. I'm looking forward to comparing it to my Marshall Regenerator.
