Interesting. Are the EMG P90s (err, 85s) voiced like P-90s? I mean, do they have the raw aggressiveness the SD Hot P90 has?

No, EMG's P90 series are just regular EMG humbuckers in a P90 sized housing. They come in 81, 85, 60, and 60A - same thing as the regular line. I've always maintained that the 85 in the bridge is a beautiful thing. I love Duncans, and Wagners too, but if I had to choose a single bridge hummer to be stuck with - it'd be the 85 (with a passive PAFish A2 neck like the Seth).
