The 'Djentstick'.

Re: The 'Djentstick'.

This world is full of Djentsticks. :smash: Thanks for the new slang! :laugh2:

I hated the word Djent till now!

Same here, though maybe not for the same reason... first time I ever read the word "Djent" was on these forums, in posts by Bulb (aka. Misha Mansoor of Periphery).

But at that time I had been listening to Meshuggah for about 15 years and never felt it needed it`s "own word"... all that does it create more drawers for the industry to pigeonhole people into.

Which is exactly what happened... these days, as soon as you tell people you play a seven string, they assume you`re a "Djentleman", and that is more than just annoying....

God I finally know what it feels like to be old.

However, that video is both awesome and hilarious. :)

That video was djentetesting! This could inspire a new breed of musician, the djentist! I can see Slipknot adding one to their group.

It's also worth noting that the djentstick is fretless... I can hear a little flub on the stick, but it's damn close.

I think Wes Borland played a random guitar with only 3 strings on it for the first Limp Biskit album. Also Presidents of the USA have 5 strings in the band.
