Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

I’ve got two:

2004 Fender Highway One Strat (SSS) in red. Aside from the cosmetic upgrade, she’s stock and not in line for any upgrades at the moment.

1998 Aria STG-004 (Strat copy), see-thru amber on alder, rosewood board on maple. Currently loaded with SH-12/SVRb-1/SCRn-1, but today FedEx is scheduled to deliver some new pickups and tomorrow UPS is scheduled to deliver a new guard and some other new parts.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

The only Strat I've kept was a wedding present from my ex (back in '84)...a maple neck USA '57 RI. I had Lindy Fralin rewind the pu's back then when he was running an ad in the Angela catalog...it's a good player, but it sure is beat up. Not sure I need another one...

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

Ok, I think I'll post a couple pics of my '94.

Stock pickguard - Little '59 bridge / Zhang Specials (rewound stocks), neck-on switch added

Dual Humbuckers - Air Zone / PAF

Not a Fender, but same body/peghead shapes, '93 Frankenstrat, "Franky" - Brobucker / APS1

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

I agree, Rich. It's almost as if you can see through the guitar body. Wohh!!! :cool3:

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

It's not quite a fender, but it does the job just as good...

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

What the hell, might as well show mine off too. A 57 RI and a Strat Plus with a WD neck. Both have Antiquitys.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

Mine's not Fender really, but the body is if that counts. The neck is from USA Custom Guitars, pickups are a DiMarzio Air Zone in the bridge and PAF Pro in the neck. Sperzel tuners, graphtec saddles, LSR roller nut, and Callaham bridge block to finish it off.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

This is way OT but what do you guys like about Strats?? Maybe I'm just weak-minded, but despite their awesome tone and playability, I can't get into them...they're way too generic for me. I love the Jaguar and Telecaster...

You mean, besides the awesome tone and playability you just mentioned? All kidding aside, I just think they're sexy, a strat has always appealed to me visually in addition to liking how they sound and play.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

I play a '99 american standard strat. I have a lil '59 in the bridge and neck and a duckbucker in the middle. It's 3 tone sunburst with a white pickguard, maple fretboard, and chrome hardware. (see photo to the left)
