The Hamer Standard (import) is here! pics/review

So today I went after work and finally made the last payment and took it home. Oh man! What a beauty, there are no finish flaws that I can see and the binding has no paint on it. It is my first time owning a guitar with out a trem type bridge, I love it so much. I find it to be alot easier to palm mute. I find the neck to be extremely comfortable, it fits perfect in my hand. The tuners are really nice, I don't know exactly which kind they are but I know the bridge is T.O.M.
There are no buzzing frets anywhere on the neck and the fret board is really nice, bends are effortless. I have not tried downtuning yet but I am most likely going to change from 10s to 11s. It has a set neck, and the joint is very comfortable, far superior high fret access (well duh its a explore shap body, heh). The guitar is not too heavy and I bought the Hamer case for it. The imput jack is really cool, it looks like it won't come loose ever. I love the creme pick guard, goes very nice with the binding.
As for the pickups, I will most likely change them. They are not bad, I am just going to the ballsy metal-esque tones instead. They are duncan designs and I was suprised on how nice they were. The quality of the whole guitar is excellent. It is an import and I am really impressed on its quality. The wave of imports from different companies have been impressing me a lot too, but not as much as this one. I accually enjoy playing this guitar more then I did playing the Gibson Explorer Studio that I tried. I will most likely be trying an Invader in the bridge and leaving the neck pup as is for the time being. Other then the pups this thing is one heck of an axe, I am so glad that I went with this choice.:D

Now for some pics:

On the subject of Duncan Designs... if you tell the folks at the factory in Korea or wherever, what materials to use, how many times to wind the coils, I"m guessing they're using automated winders just like in Santa Barbara. There probably isn't as much attention to detail over there as in SB, so, I'm guessing they might be a bit hit and miss as a lot of things made in Korea, but hey, if they sound good, they sound good!

Give an update once you've had it a bit I like those and I am curious to see how they hold up.
