Not necessarily a huge fan, but that is a very cool guitar.

I'm really, really considering getting one of those.

I'm assuming it's the nile rodgers hitmaker strat - my operating system has been acting funny and that's what came up when I did a search for "guitar hitmaker"

I'm all about the hardtail/alder body/weak pickups recipe - but the speed knobs and the thin neck I couldn't do. I need something you can roll with the side of your finger and those slick plastic knobs are difficult in that regard. Likewise, I think (controlling for other factors) a thicker neck sounds better. Strat, Tele, or Les Paul. Maybe not as big a difference as amps, but still noticeable.

At any rate, being a fender cs guitar, if I could afford it in the first place, I'd take the money and buy a USACG full custom neck and body tailored to my exact dimensions, with top end hardware and electronics. Then I would buy an electron microscope and set up the guitar to where the action was atomically perfect. I would then invest the 2 grand left over into a Roth IRA or something.

I do think it's a cool guitar. Really, I do. But $6k buys a whole lot of guitar these days. Unless it's absolutely perfect for you specifically I wouldn't even think about spending over $2.5k on it.

^ It's probably easy to do a redux on just about any expensive signature model. Fender is expecting to sell a small number of these, hence the decision to build a small number of them.

I don't hear anything all that special. It sounds like any decent strat should sound like. That said, Nile is a phenomenal guitar player and it's his playing style that I really respect and admire. It's pretty stunning to see his portfolio and I think he'd sound as good on just about anything else.
