Been thinking about also trying the JB Jr. But I'm not sure if that would give me more beef and chunk than the pickup I already have, which is the Hot Stack Plus?
 
the hot stack+ is a thick high output single coil, i like it a lot. the jb jr is also thick sounding but voiced much more like a humbucker, punchy upper mids, but not as much as the full size version. output is probably similar though i havent a/b'd them
 
The JB Jr certainly has more brightness and bite than the Hot Stack, which is sort of dark (in a good way, though). The EQ is pretty close to the full size JB.
 
But in terms of thickness and chunk and power, I imagine the JB Jr. is about equal but not more than the Hot Stack Plus.
 
Side-by-side, the HS+ sounds a lot thicker to me. The JB Jr's power is mostly in the upper mids.
