Earlier this year, I had to sell my long-time number 1, a '77 LP Triumph. Man, I loved that bass.
The local shop owner I went to knew he had me over a barrel, and he didn't even buy me dinner.
That's not all. I had a '74 Precision that I modded into a 5-string fretless.
If I played the right spot just past the end of the neck, I could fool everyone into thinking it was a standup.
That went to a guy who said he'd "hold it for me", and if I wanted it back, just return his money. Unfortunately, not gonna happen.
