The MODERN RACK setup - good or bad thing?

Re: The MODERN RACK setup - good or bad thing?

Every time I got to putting one together I realized that I really didn't need one.

*shrugs*

Then again...I've had an unfinished pedalboard project going on for over a year now. I'm pretty content just leaving the Overdrive and Tuner on top of the combo and leaving it at that.

Re: The MODERN RACK setup - good or bad thing?

so next question?

Mesa Tri Axis? Mesa Studio pre? Marshall JMP1? something else?

No, not the ADA thanks
I was glad when music moved past that.

Re: The MODERN RACK setup - good or bad thing?

I really like my rack a lot and it's come a long way since I first got it. The thing sounds huge, even through two 112 cabs. I usually only take it out for originals gigs becuase it is a little cumbersome but it definately does fill a room.

I keep a 100 watt Marshall and a 30 watt Crate around for easier transport and smaller gigs.

Re: The MODERN RACK setup - good or bad thing?

I might one day either go Mesa TriAxis or the Bogner Ecstasy.

I still can't handle $3k for an amp, even thogh I can sell some to get them. Even $2k hurts me. I prefer $1500 and under.

Either way, I like versatility.

Shoot, I wished I got off at $3k. I think where it sits now my Triaxis/2:90 rack is closer to $7k.

But it does what I want it to.
