The new G&L Superhawk Jerry Cantrell?

Hi! Any of you seen this new G&L? I can't find much info other than on their site. I am trying to get an idea of price, etc. It is American made and comes with a locking bridge and Duncans. This is my dream G&L Cantrell guitar. I was going to get a second Les Paul, till I saw this monster! I am selling my only strat and PRS Santana SE to fund this guitar. I am just not a strat guy and my new Telecaster covers my Fender needs.
Although, having a maple body, it could be very bright!
Would love to know street price.

Check it out!

it's a two-pickup, hardtail u.s.a. rampage, so i am guessing 2 grand.

my tribute rampage is not bright, and sounds most unlike a les paul. it's a charvel vibe going on, not a gibson one.

the g/l most like a les paul is the tribute ascari, hands down. even as indonesian imports, they're made better and are better equipped [i.e. better hardware and pickups] than gibsons too, imo.

what i'd do would be to, 1. get an original superhawk. not only cheaper, but will likely never depreciate. plus, no goofy signature on the head. 2. get a used tribute rampage and add a neck pickup, switch, and additional pots. assuming my 2 grand guess is correct, you're talking 80 percent of the real-deal superhawk for 1/4 the price if you go this route. you may want a hardtail ideally, but kahlers are easy enough to ignore in my short experience with them. [i got the tribute rampage a few months back.]

MMmmm, don't think i lik ethese as much.

Now it just looks like a 'regular' guitar.

I prefer the single pu model.

But that's just me.

^^ No, it`s me, too. To me a Cantrell without a Kahler is like a Dimebag signature Stratocaster, just plain WRONG! :beerchug:

I want want want one of these sooooo bad.

I would love to have a natural oiled Mahogany, or even better yet, a sold slab of Korina (single pu) Rampage.

That would be very cool. Before I played one of these Jerry Cantrell models (the single pickup version) I was assuming it was going to be kind of on the bright side with the maple body, and it's actually not. It's got crisp highs and solid tight lows, and kind of neutral mids - not what I expected. The neck and frets felt great despite the 1 3/4 width. Unique guitar - I really liked it!

The Cantrell signature on the headstock is not stupid! :P

The Rampage is one of the very few signature guitars that aren't cheesy decoration or poser-ish (looking at you Dean and you 1 million Dime Razorbacks) but an actual playing guitar. Would just much prefer a kahler on this two pup model. I also wonder if Jerry is going to ever use one of these. For all we know, he could've used it on The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here (Damn I just love to say that album title).
