The new rig...(pics inside)

Well here it is in all it's glory. The empty space above the ADA was left there so that when I get the 2:90 I'll be able to just remove the Micro Tube and slide the Mesa in. I've included a back shot for all you wire fiends... not the best, but I think it's fairly clean.

Unfortunately, I can't use my schockmount case- because the Triaxis is too deep for it. So this one was in my garage... it will due until I can get a new shockmount. What do ya think?

Re: The new rig...(pics inside)

wow, the triaxis really is deep, how many inches??

Couldn't ask for much more after the 2:90 comes along!

What pedal do you have to control all of this?

Re: The new rig...(pics inside)

The Triaxis is 14.5 inches deep. So I'll have to go with an 18" Amp Rack.

At the moment I'm controlling the rack with an old ADA MXC footcontroller. It's compact and does the job... so I'm in no hurry to replace it.

Re: The new rig...(pics inside)

way awesome - I know what the furman does, but what does each of the rest of em do again?

Re: The new rig...(pics inside)

Sweet rack. STOP after the 2:90 and don't get rackitis. LOL

You have all the essentials, and nothing more, and that'll allow it to sound great.
Take all your pics of Vernon Reid and Petrucci and burn them before you get any more ideas! hahaha

Personally, I think shockmount racks are backbreakers. Just get a light SKB and you'll be glad you did when you're moving it around gigs.

My favorite sales have always been watching some sucker walk away with a heavy rack or roadcase, so I could go buy a Tuki or SKB.

From the top:

Furman (power)
Korg DTR-1000 (tuner)
Mesa/Boogie Triaxis (preamp)
T.C. Electronic G*Major (effects)
ADA Micro Tube 200 (poweramp)

Re: The new rig...(pics inside)

But it "conditions" the sound somehow, yes?

(I'm sorry for hijacking this thread. It'll be my last question regarding the Furman.)

Re: The new rig...(pics inside)

TO be honest, I don't think this particular model does anything other than protect against spikes and surge. I could be wrong. It sure as hell doesn't stop line noise. (Which I get a lot of in our new practice space. :( )

I totally agree here. The shockmount racks are good for touring bands where you have roadies to drag that stuff around. The light SKB racks are the best way to go, IMO.

That looks sweet. Nice and simple, and yes, stop there after the 2:90. :D

It leaves your tone smooth and silky while elminating split ends.

But seriously, they just protect your rack gear from power failures and surges .etc .They also provide a convenient place to plug all your stuff into.

Re: The new rig...(pics inside)

Is the Triaxis a new unit? I demoed the other Mesa Rectifier preamp but didn't see the Triaxis in the store.

Cooll rig, I like it.

How's the ADA power amp? Is it hybrid?

The ADA is ok. Yes, it is a hybrid. It's got a tube pre section and a ss power section. I guess this is for "warmth." It's doing the job, but I can't wait to get the 2:90 in the rack.
