CC's pretty cool too
yes, the CC can work wonders.....but in the right guitar
of course![]()
I actually just ordered a CC. im hoping it will be good in my baretta.
if it's too bright you can always turn it into a custom8or a custom5. or custom4. or a custom3, etc....
do u know what size wire the CC uses? is it 43 or 42?
from what i understand, it's 43awg.

I know the Custom is supposed to be a "PAF on steriods" tone. how does the CC sound as far as the "PAF steriods" tone?

i only got to try one for a short while at guitar center the other day, and it was in a washburn idol(basic les paul style, maple cap, mahogany set neck, all that jazz) i like it. pretty fat, loose low end(in a good way) a little compressed, though not as much as it is described to be. in fact, it's pretty open sounding to my ears. then again, i brought a guitar with a jb2 that day, and it's basically a step up in compression and output, as it's a 44 guage pickup.
anyways, i think it's a cool pickup. it'll match up well in your baretta. since it's highs are a bit rounded, it'll match up well with the toothyness of an all maple guitar.
well thats good to hear. I have no idea why kramer decided to make the body's of the reissue out of solid maple?!?!oed: the highs that come out that guitar are like razor blades against a chalk board
