How did they make them without for so long? Seems like a step back to me, from a router standpoint. I think there is something more sinister involved, marking bodies so when people part them out the body will be viewed as inferior, if Fender says they only do it on cheaper models....whatever.

They've made them for 50 years now without them......

Can someone tell me what the point is of Fender putting that little dimple on their Stratocaster Bodies? Does it affect the tone in some way?

You wouldn't be able to hide a lot of bud in those little holes...i'd call it a 'blow hole' before i called it a 'pot hole'...

Yeah i bet it's some way to keep track of whether it's a 'three-hole Mexican' (sounds really bad outta context) or a 'one-hole 2000 strat' y'know what i'm sayin...

They've made them for 50 years now without them......

They probably bought some newer, faster routing machines for the Standard and Deluxe bodies, and possibly transitioned the old machines over to the Reissue line. Just speculation.

that would make sense as they are trying to make the reissues exactly the same as the old ones...

and yeah that hole's not big enough for bud. That's why you take an acoustic with you & call it a "backup guitar" for the clean songs
