The ugliest pedal(s) ever ?

Just for fun , I see some of these pedalboards , and I know , what matters from a pedal is the sound it produces , not the looks . But some of these boxes are (for me) a "poor excuse for a effect box" from a aesthetic point of view . This new "polara" Reverb of Digitech is something I think it´s "as ugly as it can be" . Some people may like it´s "psychadelic" look , I personally tend to thnk it looks awful . But the sound may be great ...

If Bon Scott were an effects pedal I'd reckon he'd be pretty ugly.

Re: The ugliest pedal(s) ever ?

I hear what you are talking about. In general, I have never found most EHX pedals attractive. I know there are some homely boxes out there....

Re: The ugliest pedal(s) ever ?

Some of the early 90s DOD pedals were pretty ugly. Peavey's 80's-90's pedals could have used a more attractive design, too.

Re: The ugliest pedal(s) ever ?

Oh those Peavey pedals looked terrible IMO! The old 80s DOD I don't find too bad though. I like their knobs lol.

Re: The ugliest pedal(s) ever ?

I think these Peavey ones looked O.K. . The look try to simulate an Amplifier on looks , if you can notice .

Not only do they look like ladybugs, they get smashed like them when you step on them too!

Man them Ibanez soundtanks are awful. (cosmetically-speaking, heck they might not sound bad at all?)

Original Big Muffs sure aren't very pretty either, especially the black and yellows.

Rocktron and Marshall pedals have always been on the ugly side IMO.

Not just that one Danielectro - all of them. That shape looks like a cheap toy.

Re: The ugliest pedal(s) ever ?

Those Ibanez Soundtank pedals sounded just like their metal counterparts. The real weakpoint was not the plastic, but the switch, which almost always failed after a year or so.
