I haven't compiled my thoughts into a concise statement yet, but....

In Sunn T mode, with FAC on 1 (low mid eq shift), you can get some huge sounds. Of course, I was playing the obligatory Kyuss riffs but as I cranked up th HF drive I got a great univox superfuzz sound that left me feeling compelled to grab my wah and pump out some Fu Manchu inspired riffage.

The speakers in this bad boy are very good. Yes, Celestion V70's are some of the more affordable speakers out there, but I can see why Nial recommended them. They are an imcredibly "even" speaker with no noticeable frequency spikes. They're very reactive to changes in your eq section and retain that level of reaponse and clarity when using the volume knob on your guitar. Don't write these speakers off because of the price. I almost did and it would have been a mistake. Are there better speakers out there? Yeah. Will I try some of them? Eventually, but for right now Big Flannel is happy.

I'm gonna go ahead and say what everyone else is thinking; that's ludicrously big for a 2x12.

It makes me erect. Musically.

Re: The wait begins.

That's a beautiful rig, man.

BTW, the Dwarvenaut is single channel, correct? Do you just crank the hell out of it to get high gain, or does it have an extra gain stage, or do you use pedals?

It is a single channel amp with a gain control. I use the volume on the guitar to clean it up. If you set the gain relatively low and hit it with a boost you can coax a very pleasing pallet of tones out of it. If you crank the gain and hit it with a boost it sound like Tony Iommi was nice enough to lend you his rig.

The amp has more gain than you realistically could ever use, bit because of that the clean tone is honestly beautiful. Its round and full but when you play with the HF drive (which is some kind of prescence control with grit) you can get a nice sparkling clean tone.
