Wow, we had an eventful day yesterday, didn't we? Let's try to put that behind us (or pretend it never happened if you weren't here) and ask me some embarrassing personal questions!

Here's the thing: I'm in and out most of today, so I'll be answering your questions in batches. I'm going to have a shower right now, and I'll answer questions when I get back. Then I'm going to get my bike wheel fixed, and I'll answer more questions after that. Then ... who knows. I go wherever the wind takes me.

Enough about my lame life. Ask anything, and I will answer as best as I can.

Do you ever get tired of hearing Canadians say "ehhh?" Like in every sentence, eh?

And what is your least favorite American slang word, or expression?

No. Does it work?

Are the Strippers REALLY that special in Vancouver or was that just '80s Hair Band dreams? :omg:

They're good, but they're no Montreal strippers. I think Americans must have some pretty lame-ass strippers because everyone seems to like ours.

Name one artist or band you feel is obligatory listening for us kids.

Bob Marley. Everyone should have at least his Greatest Hits collection. His music transcends everything: genre, style, era, race, nationality ... everything.

Do you ever get tired of hearing Canadians say "ehhh?" Like in every sentence, eh?

And what is your least favorite American slang word, or expression?

The one that bugs me the most is how some Americans refer to all sodas as "Coke". Utter nonsense. A Sprite is not Coke. A Dr Pepper is not Coke. It would be like calling all meat "chicken". "Can I have the roast beef chicken, please?"

On that note, the other one that bugs me is "chicken fried steak". Again, utter nonsense. Not only is it a syntactical nightmare and completely inaccurate (chicken is not at all involved in the recipe), it's also a culinary travesty. Deep frying a nice cut of beef should be illegal.

How's the situation going with your wife and her school?

So far so good. Her fall semester is paid for. Winter semester is still kind of up in the air, but I think we can pull something together. I worked a buttload of overtime in Kentuckiana, and I'm planning on putting it towards the tuition. She also has a part time job at Blockbuster now, which is awesome because she gets 10 free rentals a week, including games!

What do you have against maple fretboards?

Nothing. I just don't happen to have one. The only thing that really bugs me about them is the finish on the wood that my finger touches. That just feels icky to me. If I did have a maple fretboard guitar, I'd sand off the finish, or at the very least rough it up.

What about Creampies??

I have nothing against creampies either. In fact, they're awesome.

What will be the first thing you do when you are rich and famous and own the world?

See the last sentence in my reply to Gearjoneser.

Which one do you like better: yellow or brown chicks?

Bob Marley. Everyone should have at least his Greatest Hits collection. His music transcends everything: genre, style, era, race, nationality ... everything.

Cool. Duly noted.

Which Spice Girl was your favorite? Which was your least favorite?

The forum dividing question:

Boxers or briefs?

Of course, by that I mean fighters or lawyers.

Which one do you like better: yellow or brown chicks?

Ah, the question every Vancouver man asks himself eventually. Definitely yellow, though some of the brown ones make me think twice.

Cool. Duly noted.

Which Spice Girl was your favorite? Which was your least favorite?

I'm going strictly by physical attributes here, since I find them all equally stupid and talentless. The black-ish one is my favorite. My least favorite is the one that did the duet with Bryan Adams.

Would you ever permanently move out of Canada? (Doesn't matter where...be it US, UK, Germany etc. etc.)

Yes, though it would have to be for a pretty good reason, and it would definitely have to be somewhere hot. I'd move to Hawaii. It's beautiful, the weather is fantastic, and most importantly the people are really cool.

Are you really dashing? Do you dash often?

Sometimes I put a dash of paprika on my eggs. I also dash to catch the bus from time to time.

How are things at your cross-dressing anonymous meeting's going? :)

-hey someone had to start the weird questions-

I don't know what you're talking about ... now if you'll excuse me I need to change my panties before I go out to a ... cooking class. Yes, that's right.

Favourite books?

I like pretty much anything Douglas Adams wrote. I've also started reading Douglas Coupland (a fellow Vancouver resident), and though he gets on my nerves sometimes I find his books to be very entertaining overall. The best book I've read recently was The Life of Pi by Yann Martel - remarkable story that made me think a lot about religion and philosophy, as well as what makes us human.

The forum dividing question:

Boxers or briefs?

Of course, by that I mean fighters or lawyers.

I'm a lover, not a fighter, and I prefer to resolve my disputes over a nice beverage as opposed to in an office or a courtroom, so I don't really know what to answer here. I do enjoy the support and comfort of a nice pair of boxer briefs though.

How do you do the multi-quote thingy?

And which video store do you prefer Blockbuster or Jumbo?

See the weird-looking button beside "quote"? Click that for each post you want to quote, then click "quote".

I have never heard of Jumbo (must be an Ontario thing). See the post above where I mentioned that my wife gets 10 free rentals a week at Blockbuster. It's kind of my favorite by default, I suppose. There is a really awesome indie video store in Calgary called Casablanca. They have the popular stuff plus really excellent hard-to-find things, and the staff are all big movie buffs.
