Re: The Well LIV: stonabus vs. subanots

When you 1st joined the forum, I believe you had a very low opinion of me...something about a trophy wife.....I wonder if your opinion of me has changed for the better, since that occurance? :scratchch

I also wanted to say that I think you are quite talented as an artist and also that your forgot a possible forum name on your poll......busasnot.

Enjot the rest of your "well". :cool2:

He's actually smoking, resting his finger on top of his nose.

Regarding your art... what subjects do you find easy and what do you find the mot difficult. I would guess that you are an hard task master... are YOU ever really totally happy with your work? Finally, what inspires you when you are creating your work?

Re: The Well LIV: stonabus vs. subanots

hey man... Personally I've played quite a few Breedlove guitars that hands down beat out some rather pricey Martins and Taylors in a couple of different GC acoustic rooms. I'm actually thinking of purchasing one in the not-so-distant future. What do you like about them? Also, what do you think they could do differently? Any other info you wanna give about them would be great!

Thanks

Re: The Well LIV: stonabus vs. subanots

What do you like about them?
Also, what do you think they could do differently?

1. (speaking only for the custom shop, built in oregon breedloves)
they sound good because of the construction, and the woods we use. they also play awesome because me and a group of other skilled craftsman do the final qc and set-up to them. then they are looked at once more by some super picky old guys. lol. they rule at repairs, though.

2. well, i cant stand dealing with truss rod covers. i would rather all guitars have soundhole accessed truss rods.

another pain is the dual element pickup (l.r. baggs) that the sales staff keeps selling people. they are a pain to put in a guitar and they take too long to install. the worst thing about them, is you cant use the mic on them without major feedback. they dont sound any better than the active element, which is a breeze to install. and they sound like poo.

also, making a slanted bone nut (because the nutslot is slanted on revival pegheads) is tricky. i would make them all square. that way, my fingers dont fall off from fitting ... erm..... nuts, all day long.

the last thing i would change, is guitars with rmc setups and fishman boxes cut into the side of them. i would stop that. those are a travesty. too much trama is happening to the guitar.
