Re: The Well Part LXII: Wait, who is Lpmarshall?????

I feel like if I were born in the same generation as you we'd probably be a lot alike.

You are in the same generation. Generation Y goes from 1980-1999.

Best guitar you have even owned? Which guitar have you always wanted, but have not been able to get yet?

How do you feel about most modern music? Any new rock/whatever bands excite you?

Given your taste in music and the way you carry yourself, I feel like if I were born in the same generation as you we'd probably be a lot alike.

I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of modern music as far as ClearChannel bands go. There are a few here and there that I dig a song or two, but it's hard to listen after that.

I've recently discovered Opeth and The Answer. I'm probably a bit late to the party on both, but I guess better late than never :)

It's kind of odd, because most of the music I dig was stuff the older crowd on here grew up with. I always wonder if I was somehow born about 20-30 years too late. I can't imagine what it was like to grow up with that music.

I really like XSSIVE's Clone #9, and I really love the neck on my EBMM Axis. All of my guitars get playing time for the most part, and I don't really favor one over the other.

I've always wanted a really nice acoustic, and I've never bought one. That is probably going to be my next purchase. I still have the original Alvarez acoustic I started on almost 13 years ago. I also want to build myself a Strat, so I might start buying parts for that soon.

What would be your first course of action?

1) Your kid is about to be arrested
2) Someone is stealing your LP studio
3) You can see a small fire in your 1982 Toyota Corolla
4) Your girlfriend has started the " I'm leaving you...sob..sob" conversation
5) There is 2 minutes left on a legit "Buy it now" 1976 LP Desert Burst Sunburst for $1200.

Your man card is up for renewal BTW!

Only another St. Louisan can properly appreciate this question...

What High School did you go to?

What High School did you go to?

Just like toasted ravs and gooey butter cake :-)

I went to CBC (Christian Brothers College High School).

Who did you root for in the super bowl? Pittsburgh Steelers or the Arizona Cardinals?

If it was the Cardinals was it because of Kurt Warner and his ties to STL?

I really didn't care who won the Superbowl. And I also got sick of the local newspapers talking about Kurt Warner. I know he is a good man and did a lot of nice things here, but he's moved on to another team and I didn't really understand all the hoopla.

Re: The Well Part LXII: Wait, who is Lpmarshall?????

Absolutely...
McCluer North HS, here. North County's Finest.

Favorite thing about STL?

Least favorite?

I've played soccer at McCluer North quite a few times. Was that the one with the blue track? I can't remember if that was McCluer or McCluer North.

Favorite thing? I like being centrally located, and I'm about 10-15 minutes from almost everything (except St. Charles). Housing prices aren't bad around here either.

Least favorite? Drivers around here suck pretty bad.

Alright ladies, here is the deal.

I'm going to be slacking off at work all week, so you better start asking me some questions. I need to kill the time somehow.

Re: The Well Part LXII: Wait, who is Lpmarshall?????

What do you do for a living?

What is your dream job?

Did you go to college?

Re: The Well Part LXII: Wait, who is Lpmarshall?????

What do you do for a living?

I'm a Linux SME (Subject Matter Expert). I'm a government contractor in charge of hundreds of systems all over the country. Basically I'm the end of the line for any Linux related issues and projects. On top of that I'm a jack of all trades, so I get my hands in Windows/HPUX/Slowaris as well.

What is your dream job?

To sit on my ass and do nothing :-)

My dream job would really be something that involved my current skillset and guitars. I'm not quite sure how that would work out, but it would be pretty **** cool.

Did you go to college?

For two years, I never graduated.

I started working for an IT company back in 1999. Back then all these companies were going public. I was their first real employee, and dropped out of school about a year later to work full time when they started offering stock options. Well we all know what happened then, the bubble burst. I don't regret my decision, I'm still gainfully employed and I've worked my ass off to get where I am.

Given the chance (with no negative consequences for your) who would you punch in the throat (alive or dead)?

Would you rather live somewhere other than STL?

That would be a long list. I'll go with Billy Mays since he I saw his annoying infomercial on TV last night.

Chicago is probably my second favorite city. I've been there a dozen times and I always have a blast.

Re: The Well Part LXII: Wait, who is Lpmarshall?????

What guitars and amps do you own? I'm sure you've listed them somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look. I'm betting by your username you are into the same things I am...........

Are you reading a book right now? If so, what is it? Do you ever go to the symphony?
