So I've had the magnatron and classic in the bridge. Here are my observations.
The Magnatron was clunky and very full. It had a real nice chewy midrange while retaining a very articulate high a slow end. Sounds beautiful clean and it sounds mean distorted.
The Classic has a neutral to scooped midrange and a big low end and an extended high end. It gives you a great metallic "kerang" like the beginning of all the anthemic Who tunes.
