Thin sounding Little '59

Installed an Everything Axe set of pups in a strat and the Little '59 in the neck position is real thin sounding on it's own. The Duckbucker and Little JB sound great. The '59 had a DCR of 9.49, the Duckbucker a 2.63 and the JB was 15.38. Rechecked the wiring ( red and white connected, black to 5 way, green and shield to ground) and it all checked out. It super thin with no real output and no bottom but when you tap on the pole pieces it's just as strong as the JB. Any ideas?

Raise the height of the Lil 59 - that will make it thicker and warmer tone. If you checked the resistance of the neck pickup while its connected to the guitar and get around 9.5k, the wiring should be right.

I assume you know the wire color codes for SD humbuckers, but just in case it should have the red and white wires joined together.

I tried that. Up to a few millimeters of the strings. Tone became distorted but still thin. It's almost like the pup is out of phase with itself.

That is really strange. It is actually a pretty thick sounding pickup on its own. I would test the DCR, and maybe even try it soldered directly to the jack before you give up on it.

I was surprised when i checked out the sound examples on the product site. The neck position on the Everything Ax sounded thinner than the middle.
