I have a MIM Tele, just like th one in your avatar. I installed a Tele Hotrails in the bridge and enlarged a black Tele pickguard to fit a Strat sized single, and installed a Hotrails Neck. With these two I installed a 5 way Mega Switch so I get wach of the buckers alone, or together, and the notch positions give me the inner coils together in one spot and the outer coils in the other. It makes for an extremely versatile Tele. I'm thinking about adding the EMG Afterburner to the set to punch up the gain a lot. The Tele Hotrails is still the best sounding Duncan to me and has power to spare!

Im not really going for nuclear war output if I go duncan.
I want a pickup that drives the amp good but still has tons of twang and cleans up to sound warm and twangy. the EMG sounds odd and VERY sterile on cleans, thats the main thing I didnt like.

How is the normal hot?
