Thinking about getting a wah

Re: Thinking about getting a wah

Thanks, I just might get one, obiously I have to think for a while before I spend that much cash but i'm very tempted. The vox sounds good but I don't really like the feel the pedal has, more give that I want and the crybabys growl which is cool but not what i'm looking for.

Also realize that both the Vox and the Crybaby models are both Dunlop pedals..

Are you saying Dunlop owns Vox?? Or what do you mean?

Dunlop just stayed with using the Vox name and the Vox look, but Dunlop owns the rights now....It's all Dunlop..

Re: Thinking about getting a wah

I did actually know that, I don't know where I heard it though. The Budda is made by Dunlop too isn't it? It seems like every mass produced wah on the planet other than Morleys are Dunlop.

Re: Thinking about getting a wah

I bought a wah today. I had a Boss V-Wah but it crapped out. I wanted to play the Crybaby From Hell, but my local GC didn't have any. I played the Zakk Wylde model and it wasn't worth the money to me, but I liked and ended up buying the 535Q. Unfortunately they had to order it and it will be here within a few weeks.

Excellent choice. The 535Q is basically the Crybaby From Hell, except without the fine tune knob, the camo graphic, and the skate tape, I believe. Did you order it with or without Fasel?

Re: Thinking about getting a wah

If you like the way Crybaby's feel, I don't think there's a better one than the CFH. FYI, I own one.

That said, they always do sound pretty modern and snappy. As much as you tweak the Q-control, you just can't get that smooth fat sweep.

Like I mentioned before, if you like the feel of these wahs, then that's great...but I've always found them to move too easily.
