Thinking about pickups for new SZ320

Have a chance to pick up an Ibanez SZ320 cheap - nice guitar, good sound, good reviews - but think I would want to change the pickups. The Ibanez/Duncans seem to be similar to 59/JB or so I have heard. I was thinking a Custom 5 for the bridge and a Pearly for the neck - how would that work with a mahogany body with maple cap and hardtail? I would be using this guitar mainly for bright, crunchy rhythm work - 80s hard rock-style, think Scorpions, Y&T, that kind of sound. Any suggestions? Thanks!

i think the PGn / C5b would work real well ... of course, a real JB would also nail the 80's thing in the bridge
