Thinking about selling a pair of T-Tops; Price?

Looking for some objective opinions. As you probably know, I think they general suck hairy moose sack. They are found in Wikipedia as the picture for the definition of "meh."
I replaced my LP bridge T-Top from my 79 LP decades ago. I have kept the neck in there, but honestly, who am I kidding. I'm a Pearly Gates neck guy.
Pretty sure I can get more than enough for a PG neck, and then some. But like I said - I'm not objective.


So what is a "real" market price for these things?

A quick internet scan looks like $350-$450 each, with some available as low as $225 each, depending on condition. Late '70s seem to be lower than 60's/early '70s, but it's not consistent.

Those have a serious following among some folks on MLP; I'd list them there, so long as you're willing to endure discussions about what machine they were wound on, what the humidity was the day they were made and how they differ from anything Jimmy Page ever used.

No idea what either of those are. Earlier T-Tops are preferred, as far as I know.

Those are Norlin pickups, maybe 78-81 or so.

Thats just a fairly stock price for a lot of older pickups these days. These caricatures of doctors and lawyers (which generally don't actually exist outside of the minds of the insecure) wouldn't be slumming that sort of dough.

I’d say they’re about 300-350$ a piece if in good condition. Crazy, as they’re just not great sounding pickups. We’ve entered into an age where guitars and gear made in the 70’s, where companies began cutting back on quality in order fatten profits such as Fender and Gibson, are now considered desirable and vintage. It just wasn’t a good era / decade for the most part for guitars.

Exactly. I'd think people would pay me to keep them, honestly.

I was watching a Trogly show where he was talking about a low end Gibson and saying that "T-Tops were the same pickups in a Les Paul Custom of the time!"

They sucked in there too.
