I have an original SG from '68. I bought it new The only thing I have done to it is I put a set of Grovers in it, and I changed the saddles since the originals were pretty well chewed up. I love that guitar and it sounds killer.

My 1974 Special has an aluminium tailpiece, does anyone know if that used to be stock back then? If so then we have another thing they should reissue!

Why did they discontinue the Blue/Green teal flip flop SG special? I am gassing for one of those. WIll be nearly impossible now to get hold of one.

Yeah...... it was my only electric until '87 when I bought my Strat. The G astring tuner was kind of slippery, so I replaced them with Grovers. Istill have the original tuners. I will never sell this guitar. It plays and sounds great. I friend of mine made me a nice leather strap that matched the paint real well also. I have a lot of time on her.
