Really? Dude talks like he's never seen a recessed bolt-on neck in his life. When this popped out in my what to watch section I had to see it. The guy sounds like he's trying to justify his purchase. I didn't really know how to feel after watching that. Anyways I'll stick with my Charvel.

I personally have never played a Dean I liked. The only Floyd-Equipped I'd take over a Charvel/Jackson would be a Wayne, which is made by Wayne Charvel (the original San Dimas guitar builder, sold out of Charvel Jackson and uses his first name now to make guitars.)

Re: This made me sad/angry today

Yeah, I saw this awhile back too. What a tool... Ill keep my Charvels, thank you!!

Re: This made me sad/angry today

I'm on the Dean Forum, and saw this a while ago on there. All the members over there agree, it's okay to like more than one company. We all have guitars from different makers. Heck, some members on the Dean Forum don't even have a Dean guitar at the moment, but they still like to hang around the forum. Point being, yeah it was a little odd for the guy on the video to say what he said.

I just posted on my own thread (here on the S.D. forum) about how I just traded a Jackson Dinky DK2M for a Dean ML. I know some people might think I'm crazy since a lot of people don't like any Dean guitar. I understand that. Just like I understand some people are going to like a Charvel over a Dean and vice versa. It's player preference. So again, the video is a little odd, to say it nicely.

Doesn't look like a Dean?
If I want a Dean or a BC Rich it shouldn't even resemble a Charvel.

At first glance it looks a Charvel or Jackson–I love the looks of the wood/grain. My personal preference for a Floyd equiped guitar is a Charvel; however, its been a long time since I played a Dean. But mainly right now I'm going through a phase where I don't need a Floyd, so my custom Strat works beautiful...off topic but just through that in there. lol

Re: This made me sad/angry today

I don't mind that Dean. But the guy in the video should be selling potatoes, not guitars.

Gave up watching after seventy seconds.

Except Wayne never actually built any "Charvel" guitars... Grover bought out Wayne out in '78, and prepros did not happen until late '79, '80.

Re: This made me sad/angry today

Gave up watching after he said that the heel is *gasp* angled and how those Dean guys are "so ahead of their time".

Last I checked pretty much EVERY SuperStrat maker has been doing the angled heel for DECADES, such as my Grover Jackson era 1993 Washburn MG-104, and I'm pretty sure they weren't the first to do it either. Heck, even Fender themselves do it occasionally in one form or another.

As for the axe itself, the 24 frets and the fact that it looks too much like an Ibanez S(aber) make me not even get the Charvel comparison...

So to sum up, the axe? It's ok, can't know if I jive with it or not until I've had it in my hands but the video/reviewer? 100% pure t00l

Re: This made me sad/angry today

If you live your life getting angry every time you see an idiot on the internet, you'll rage so hard you'll come home and beat your spouse without really ever knowing why.

Choose life.

Ahh, the classic rambling ****** monologue. Youtube makes people think everyone wants to hear them just as much as they want to hear themselves.....:barf:

"Okay, today we're going to take a look at the blah blah blah ass-bag blah blah 3000. Blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah…"

Re: This made me sad/angry today

He's edgy, so he buys a USA Dean over the one his Hair Metal Heroes used backinnaday.

He's also tragically misinformed.

Re: This made me sad/angry today

My first clue to not bother hitting play was the XMAS tree of gadgetry on top of his 40 knob combo amp.

Not trying to Argue, but Wayne built several guitars under "Charvel." I know he built Stryper's guitars which were Pointy headed Charvels.
