This may be a stupid question

Reckless Abandon

New member
I have a Vox valvatronix. There are 3 fender models on there.
Tweed 1x12
Blackface 2x12
Tweed 4x10

I know the tweed 4x10 is a Bassman. What are the other 2? I know so little about Fenders. I have always beena marshall man.

Thanks

Tweed Deluxe
Twin Reverb
Bassman 4-10, this model is very versatile and one of the best ones because it sounds like a Bassman at lower gain and a vintage Marshall at higher gain. It actually sounds more Marshall-like than most of the Marshall models.

Yes, I agree with you on that. The Bassman is the greatest setting of that amp. Its got a nice biting clean with some beefy distortion when at higher gain levels. I got that amp paired up with my Boss GT-8 Multi-effects board for my modern tones and it fits the bill perfectly.

Isn't this in the manual? On the larger ADxxVT-models (60 and 120), all models are listed and explained in the manual. No actual brand names and model names are mentioned, but the hints in the text are very, VERY obvious ;). Well, I have to admit: if you know the actual amps that are being modeled.

Yup...if you've got the higher end VT or the TL, drop the Bassman onto the 4x12 celestion cabs and be prepared for some pretty good Plexi type tones.

The Line 6 model is this way as well..I *HATE* Line 6's plexi models...all of them. Wimpy and no balls. Drop the Bassman head onto the GB 20s or 25s and you've got instant convincing Plexi tones.
