OK, back to my real self. A rock track with the Agile LP and the SX bass.

You'll here why I LOVE the Traynor YCV40 lead channel and why the 59b is my favorite pickup for lead and for rhythm. This is excatly the sound I was after.

My Acid drums now sound a lot better but are still too linear because I have no damn patience to fool around and find or create fills and stuff.

Thanks TO, I really like this tone. And what I like is that, with a simple overdrive pedal, like a Super Overdrive, I can easily get into metal territory. Although this type of overdriven sound is my favorite style, really.

I stopped trying to show off, because there's way too many better players in here. I try to stick to what I do best (70ish lead guitar), improve my rhythm skills, learn more about harmonies to create cool bass parts and make sure I play in sync with the track, also trying to create a great sounding track overall. This one is better sounding than anything I've posted so far, so I'm happy with it. It's actually an except of a longer song I'm working on.

I have many others cooking, so I'll be posting again soon. My gear problems out of the way, I can now concentrate on playing. I adding the bass helps me create more complete tracks, it's really inspiring.

That's one of the best straight rock tone clips I've ever heard on the net. Traynors rule.

:saeek: Nice! Killer tones and tight riffage there Mr Sly.. some AC/DC and Rolling Stones influence there.. stuff that I like to hear. It sounds like you are getting the ACID loops to work for you too :)

Without a doubt the best tone you've had on a recording so far.. great classic crunch sound.

Also, your lead playing is spot on for the track, straight up rock guitar \m/

Thanks guys, it's good to be back... this is probably the type of stuff I like to play the most, it fits my lousy hands like a glove :D

And yeah Stevo, I'm getting better with the Acid loops now. My next one will even have fills and single shots!

Since I'll be on vacation for the next two weeks, I'll have more time to post. We don't go anywhere, just nice, quiet family vacation. We need a freakin' rest with a 2 year-old child.

Sounds very, very cool!

Try to add very little delay on the whole track..the drums will sound more lively.

Yeah, that's an idea... I think my drums may be a little too low in the mix.

I actually don't mic it. I get our of the effects loop's SEND into a Behrigner Ultra-G Direct box with analog cab sim, then right into my sound card.

This has two big advantages: if I put the amp on "stand by", the LOOP still send the signal so I can record at 3 AM and still get a tube sound. And I always have the same recorded sound.

The drawback is that I don't have that air moving thing that makes recordings juicier. And can't record the great sound of the Vintage 30 speaker of the amp. That's why I'll buy a condenser mic down the road, it's on my Crhsitmas gift wosh list.
