Woooooooweeeeee!!! I think you did what you set out to do as far as the hot rod guitar. Looks killer and I like that Super Distortion rail pickup. Had one once and it sounded pretty darn close to the humbucker version.

Re: This Telecaster is a Sleeper Designed to Wake the Neighbors

I like it. It's looks remind me of a Richie Kotzen Telecaster, but his have gold hardware.

I'm green with envy! Love that color.

Thanks man I looked at a ton of greens and flip-flopped a few times. I wanted something that would stand out, I think I got it.

That green is all kinds of right. If that neck had a rosewood fretboard it'd be game over for me.

Mate, it's like the Grim Reeper rocking up
to a beach party in a stylish safari suit!

LOVE IT!!

Thanks for all of the compliments they mean a lot coming from other guitar players.

The Super D is real close to the original. There is also a push/pull on the tone pot letting me go to more of a vintage tone. It sounds very cool split or humbucking.

Oh dude.... that's sick! I love it. The bridge - the pickups, the barrel knobs, the color... awesome!!

Re: This Telecaster is a Sleeper Designed to Wake the Neighbors

I've always wanted to buy a Tele and I probably will at some point, but I've never known if I should get one in ash vs. alder, vintage bridge vs. modern bridge, etc. I don't know what makes a good Telecaster. If I could afford it, I'd get a Nash Tele. I saw a guy on YT playing Iron Maiden on his and it blew my mind.

That is the nice thing about Teles there are so many options and they are easy to mod. I would suggest hitting your local music store and playing as many as possible, make a mental list of the features you like. Nothing "makes a good Telecaster" it is about making a guitar that is good for you. The other nice thing about Telecasters is they get modded so much you can always find quality used parts on Ebay and around the SDUGF forums. My green Tele in the picture started off as a $200 music store find and leftover parts from another Tele build.
