Thoughts on a Bigsby trem?

Re: Thoughts on a Bigsby trem?

i would like to have one on a tele, i have one on my starfire and i have no problems with it. I love the sound it gives to my starfire too. It makes it sound a little older and a bit twangier.

I am the opposite of a lot of guys on here though as i HATE the sound and feel of a floyd rose and both of my strats have the bridge blocked.

My heritage 335 has one and I had small issues with tuning stability. But, I got the nut perfect, used the old pencil trick, and this Heritage has one of those roller bridges, so there is zero binding there.

The biggest thing you have to do is stretch the hell out of your strings and get them ready.

Then I bought some locking tuners from Allparts, but they were the wrong ones, but I kept working it over and now it's pretty darn stable. Stable enough for me. I agree with the quick little pull up and release to get it back where ti should be.

Bigsbys are way cool if you ask me. Fender has a Tele out now that has a standard Bigsby on it stock. Bruce Springsteen could have made this a signature model.

It's sooooo nice, it's the reason i made the final decision to deck out my tele similar to it.
