Thoughts on Modelers Owned- Kemper, Fractal, Headrush

I love my Headrush Gigboard, I use it mostly for practice and recording but I have done a few fly gigs with it.

I like the firmware update they came out with last year, had to do it recently becuase it crashed and it needed it apparently.

The power supply is a little flakey, I picked up a spare and so far all the issues have gone away.

It does take a bit to really dial it in but no more or less than any other stuff I have used/tried. I rarely use the clean stuff more Aerosmith-y type tones but I don't find it hard to get real useable tones from it.

I have an AXE-FX II XL+......I tinkered with the modeling when I rewired the rack. It's remarkably good, but it isn't like the real thing. It's functional, sounds decent, and the feel is reasonable but take their Fish model back-to-back with a Fish re-issue and it's not the same. Chicken head knobs in the analogue world still win.

That being said, the modeling is the best I've experienced, and I love their effects which was the driving factor in getting that unit. An actual Soldano X88-IR and Fish > modeling in the AX-FX.
