Thoughts on these fanned 7 string classicals?

I was at my local guitar store (Picker's Supply, if you are ever in the Fredericksburg VA area it's guaranteed to be a million times better than your local guitar store) and I heard a gent talking about how 7 stringed classical guitars with fanned frets are a whole lot more popular than you would think in the classical guitar world.

I was thinking about buying one, but first I must ask, exactly how much will this extra string add to the crappy flamenco guitar playing that I have acquired over the years?

It will make it exactly 1 string crappier.

I get 7 string classical. Then again, I spent some time playing classical. Flamenco? No idea, but I'm not as optimistic.

But more power to anyone trying to up the creativity factor with an extra string!
