Anybody have any experience using Threadlocker ( in my case, some stuff called 'Threadlocker Blue') on over torqued input jack nuts?

My nut does tighten , but to a point if tighetened further will spin. So its at this point not spinning, fairly tight, and I just applied the threadlocker.

What can I expect?

I hate to have to do any more work, like to replace the jack. Waaah.:17:

What about a washer?

The thread locker wont work and isn't for situations like yours. The nut coming loose isnt the problem its because its reached the limit and hasnt got anything to bite down onto. Spacer/washer from the back and or front.

A new jack socket with a star washer and moderate tightening. A flat washer may be needed in conjunction with the star washer, eyeballing things before fitting will usually indicate what will be needed.

Usually a thread-locking compound ('LocTite' etc.) is applied as the nut is threaded on, and dries to hold it there. But it will make future removal of the nut more difficult, and normally a star washer will eliminate the need for locking compounds.

coat it with steel-reinforced epoxy and cut new threads of the same pitch as your nut, but this is even more masochistic and costly than replacing the jack.
