Greetings, I'm new to this forum. I'm really curious about the combination of three small humbuckers in my Clapton custom shop strat. I've had a Little '59 in the bridge since the guitar was new, and it sounds awesome. It REALLY responds well to the active boost that these Clapton's are known for, at maybe just 2 or 3. I don't really need a true single coil sound anymore, nor will I completely miss the quack of pos 2, so I'm thinking of going for three littlle '59's, or maybe a JB jr in the middle. I don't want anything with more treble/less bass in the bridge, but I wouldn't mind that scenario in the middle. My main concern is that I still want the bridge pickup to jump out a bit from the pack, but I'm fairly certain I'll accomplish that with the height adjustments. Has anyone tried these combinations? Might I get closer to a humbucker version of a quack with three of the same (little 59's), as opposed to placing the JB jr in the middle? Thanks in advance. - Roy
