Like Zhangliqun (you have one of these wierd usernames that are hard to spell for others, just like mine
....) said, it's a flame top but with a subtle flame. And I'm glad for that, I wouldn't want it to be a monster flame top like some of the Gibson Historics are. Doesn't do it for me! And neither would I want it to be a complete plaintop either... subtle flame is my favorite.
JacksonMIA, cool...felt nice when you asked if it was real crackings. Means I did a okay job at least I came up with the idea myself. Looked at some Burst headstock pics and though that a needle would work well. Was kinda scared to do it at first but I got my guts together and I'm pleased with the result.
Thanks Gearjoneser, glad you enjoy the project! Yup, alot of people basically hate the relicing thing. Though I haven't had anyone bashing me for doing it yet Might be that the difference from many other relicing project is that I don't do anything to the top (just polished it), I'll let that age naturally, it feels that way now at least. And I work very carefully, overdoing things like this is the biggest miss!

of course you ll keep us posted about your new mods to this beauty... I really do have fun seeing how it progresses
