1. Jazzy Surfy Stoner Metal

3. I want a real strat with a mapleboard, surf green. That's it.

4. Most listened song-Melvins- Revolve. My current favorite song, not quite overplayed. And a bit older than 5 years, but the Melvins are still around

5. Favorite to play- somethingorother from the Melvins or Alice in Chains.

6. Fondest guitar moment- Getting rid of my Line6 Spider (glad you like it though Josh). Playing my Jag for the first time. "Inventing" Power chords.

7. Worst guitar moment- Convincing my parents to buy Line 6 spider when I was 16. Almost bankrupting myself to buy a Gibson. All those times I played the guitar in college and didn't get laid for it. All those cheapo guitars I bought and sold because I didn't know what a good guitar should be. Being 10 minutes late to my grandma's house and missing out on a free Sunn bass head.

8. Most memorable forum moment- being christened Slade. Arguing with people over various religions. My first post (in the Rick James death thread as I recall). All those trolls. Erecting shrines to the Hoff.

-Late 60s style funk and Afrobeat, 70s bluesrock/hard rock, and a bit of everything else.

2. what guitar(s)/equipment(rig) do you currently use (or use most often)?

-Fender 57ri strat, PRS Custom 22, Gibson Les Paul jr, Fender telecaster Custom ri, Mesa Blue Angel head, Fender Custom Vibrolux reverb, G2D Classic overdrive, Boss DD5

3. what instruments/equipment are you currently GASing for?

-I have a Soldano Hot rod 50+ on hold this week, so that'll be it for amps for a long time. For guitars, either a Les Paul Special or a PRS McCarty Soapbar.

4. what is your favorite modern (within the last 5 years) song to listen to and by what band?

-Pressed for one, I'd say 'The Seed' by The Roots

5. what is your favorite song to play on your guitar and by what band?

-My own stuff. Outside of that, anything by The Meters, Freddie King, Van Halen...

6. what is your fondest memory regarding playing the guitar/bass

-So many. Probably the first time I played galatos with my band. Our first decent sized venue.

7. what is the stupidest thing you have done in regards to playing guitar/bass

-Doing a riser leap onto a marble floor. I hobbled around like a cripple for a week. And numerous bad deals involving 80s hair guitars.

8. What the most memorable moment regarding the Forum

-learning heaps off the likes of Lew and Curly, always disregarding number limitations when doing lists, hassling god botherers, prog nutters and metal kids, and goading GJ into buying a Tele by repeatedly questioning his manliness over a period of months.

Progressive Rock and Roll tinged with Blues, Metal, and Pop.

2. what guitar(s)/equipment(rig) do you currently use (or use most often)?

My Strat (you know the one) or my Music Man Silhouette

I've got an Axis on hold... I've love a Fulltone Ultimate Octave and Deja Vibe.

4. what is your favorite modern (within the last 5 years) song to listen to and by what band?

I'm a total schizophrenic about things like this... I like everything from The Killers to Eisley to 311 to Dream Theater.

5. what is your favorite song to play on your guitar and by what band?

Anything by Joe Satriani is great fun to play. I've been playing "Up In The Sky" a lot lately.

6. what is your fondest memory regaurding playing the guitar/bass.

Playing in front of people and getting cheers instead of simple applause, jamming with my best friends, discovering Music Man guitars. Just the simple joy of discovery in the early stages is a magic that I can always remember with fondness, but can rarely re-experience.

7. what is the stupidest thing you have done in regaurds to playing guitar/bass.

Wasted my time and money with so many effects pedals, decision paralysis, selling my Les Paul for an Ibanez and selling my JCM800 because I didnt know about attenuators.

- Jamming with Seymour and playing at a Roman Ampitheatre in Cyprus

- Tried to start a gig with the rocker pedal of my Zoom all the way up, thus turning the volume right down. Not realising and tearing my entire setup apart trying to find the problem.

- Evan deleting the UGD Thread and all the pictures!! (Be careful with the UK UGD thread please Evan)

Classic 70s rock is home but in my band I cover all kinds of rock/pop.

Gibson Les Pauls ('91 Classic, '96 Standard) and Tech 21 Trademark 60 get the most use.

3. what instruments/equipment are you currently GASing for?

An early 70s Les Paul Deluxe, a Tele and a Marshall 2556A cab to complete my Jubilee mini-stack. Maybe a Firebird too while we're at it.

4. what is your favorite modern (within the last 5 years) song to listen to and by what band?

Anything by The Darkness. I'll go with "I Believe In A Thing Called Love".

5. what is your favorite song to play on your guitar and by what band?

Anything by Thin Lizzy. I'll go with "The Boys Are Back In Town".

6. what is your fondest memory regaurding playing the guitar/bass

Probably the old pub rock days in Oxford when I was 19-20, opening for Urchin and Chinatown.

7. what is the stupidest thing you have done in regaurds to playing guitar/bass

Selling my original sixties Marshall JTM45 head and '71 goldtop LP Deluxe.

8. What the most memorable moment regaurding the Forum

Les Paul Studio into Line 6 Guitar Port for quiet, everyday practice, or Marshall DSL 50 in a band setting

PRS Single Cut, Schecter C-1 A/E, Bogner Ecstacy Classis with matching cab (a man can dream, can’t he?)

Dream Theater’s These Walls, Megadeth’s Tears in a Vial

At the risk of sounding full of myself, my favorite thing to jam over was actually written by me. By any other band, I suppose you could pick any song off of Megadeth’s Youthanasia. Those tunes are a lot of fun to play.

6. what is your fondest memory regarding playing the guitar/bass
Hearing for the first time the playback of the first complete (all instruments and vocals) demo my band recorded, and being half crocked while doing so.

7. what is the stupidest thing you have done in regards to playing guitar/bass
Leaning my LP Studio against a dresser (as opposed to placing it in the stand two feet away) while answering the telephone. It slid sideways and landed face first onto a set of dumbbells.

8. What the most memorable moment regarding the Forum
No one moment, but looking back and realizing just how much I’ve learned from everyone on this site (not just knowledge pertaining to guitar, but life lessons as well).

I'm trying to calm myself... the latest was to make a floydrose superstrat with christmas cash

Probably will occur in three weeks at the Palace theater in Waterbury as the biggest venue I'll ever play at.

Tried to rewire my Les Paul like 5 times and failed miserably each time, and that time I tried a Dimarzio in my Ibanez.... woah suck city.

Probably just talking with Jeff Seal about amp building. I've never been on the phone with someone who had the job I dream about before.

- Something on Muse's first two albums.. can't pick a fave.

- I like playing my own stuff and hardly know any covers the whole way through

- Being able to play every night to relax!

- Nobody told me there was an off button on a Cry Baby.. I thought the clunking noise was it breaking. I returned two before a salesman decided to try out the one I'd brought before exchanging it. He clicked it in, and sure enough it started wahing.. He joked "you do know there's an on/off switch don't you?" I just BSed "yeah but it just kept dying on me at home.. must be my cables I guess.." I swapped that Cry Baby for an RP100 as the wah wasn't me anymore :burnout:

8. What the most memorable moment regaurding the Forum
- Forum jams (+tips n clips in general) many forum members (too many to list) and most of all being able to talk about nerdy stuff like replacement parts for guitars without getting told to shut up! :laugh2:

stormy monday... really any band that does it tends to do it pretty well, but the allman brothers did it very very well

playing at this event at my church called X-plosion, in front of about 350 people, but it was a worshipful experience

a couple weeks ago, with my friends, doing this whole thing where you wrap your bodies around eachother and play eachothers guitar(steve vai style!!)

Godin LG Signature, Diamond Pedals Fireburst Fuzz/Distortion, and a Silvertone Twin-twelve.

A nice Semi-Hollow, a new LOUD, CLEAN amp, and a PA system.

"You got a killer scene there, Man....." - Queens of The Stone Age.

"Someone's In The Wolf" - Queens of The Stone Age, why? Just listen to that song, full of energy and strange, fun as hell to play(as you can tell i'm really diggin the queens new album).
