- Classic Rock, 80's Rock and Metal, some Pop...anything with a good rock beat

- Les Paul Standard, Dean Hardtail, Fender Double Fat Strat, Boss GT-6 for quiet practice, Marshall JCM 800 2205 thru a Marshall 4x12
3. what instruments/equipment are you currently GASing for?
- Gibson Les Paul Jr w/P-90's. Gibson SG. Two Rock Emerald 50 Pro or Bogner Extacy. I'd like a Splawn Quick Rod, but it is just a Marshall clone. Banzi Fireball.
4. what is your favorite modern (within the last 5 years) song to listen to and by what band?
- Lifehouse - Hanging By A Moment. I'm generally uninspired by most modern music. There is a song that comes along every so often that is the exception.
5. what is your favorite song to play on your guitar and by what band?
- Tough call. On acoustic...Love Song by Tesla. On electric...Knockin On Heavens Door, GnR version.
6. what is your fondest memory regaurding playing the guitar/bass.
- Playing acoustic guitar and singing for someone very special to me, at a very special time in my life.
7. what is the stupidest thing you have done in regaurds to playing guitar/bass
- not getting up to play at UGD.

7. thinking my wah was broken for about 3 months, before i finally realized id been plugging it in backwards each time

1. what music style do you play
Mainly metal/rock... but I've just begun to expand out. I'm digging for music where the guitar isn't too prominent, being able to have a broader appreciation for what other instruments can do.

Yamaha Pacifica 312 ii HSS in Honeyburst with a Duncan Cool Rails in the neck and a Duncan Distortion in the bridge. This through a Roland Cube 30 using the Classic Stack modeller.
3. what instruments/equipment are you currently GASing for?
Fender USA Deluxe Ash Strat, Hamer Korina Explorer, Traynor Custom Blue. The latter is the realistic one, at the moment.
4. what is your favorite modern (within the last 5 years) song to listen to and by what band?
The recent Avenged Sevenfold CD has been a great listen, ever since the lead vocals turned clean. Bruce ****inson released a killer album as has Coldplay. Sykes latest live album is a definite keeper, as well!
The two bands (with recent releases) that have stuck in my playlist for a LONG time are Maiden and Twilight Odyssey.
5. what is your favorite song to play on your guitar and by what band?
Maiden's Children of the Damned, which has an awesome riff, a great clean verse and a lovely tapping solo.
6. what is your fondest memory regaurding playing the guitar/bass
Jamming with my buds alongside other bands, due to the laughs and being able to watch and make constructive comments about each other.
7. what is the stupidest thing you have done in regaurds to playing guitar/bass
In my first band, I played through a Peavey Rage 158 with a Metal Zone pedal with the gain on 10. I might as well have not been in it, because you couldn't hear me. :laugh2:

Yamaha APX5A (acoustic with piezo), EKO K-100 amp, .50 Dunlop tortex pick and fingers, Santo Angelo cables. I occasionally play through whatever I can get loaned from some friends but its rare.
3. what instruments/equipment are you currently GASing for
Bad Coconuts... really. Realistically, maybe a Les Paul Special (all mahogany, single cutaway, 2 p90s) or something along that line and mod it's electronics somehow. A Fender Blues Jr would do me some good I guess with a MXR Double Shot Double Distortion and a wah pedal connected to it would get me where I want. If I had the cash I'd have a custom made tele with all sorts of mods (countours, mahogany body, p90 at the neck... the works).

6. what is your fondest memory regaurding playing the guitar/bass
The small progressions. From simple melodies to chords, power chords, barre chords... stuff like that that showed me I was making progress. The first time I played Santana was somethinng wicked.
7. what is the stupidest thing you have done in regaurds to playing guitar/bass
Hitting my headstock while turning to yell something at my mom or something like that (nice dent there to remind me I have to be more carefull with an instrument). Dropping my old classical Stagg 2 times (on separate occasions) and dettaching the soundboard from the sides was also pretty stupid but I'd say it comes in second as I learned how some stuff works in a guitar and how to glue a top back on and why not to drop a guitar... twice.

8. What the most memorable moment regaurding the Forum?
Pretty much anything foamy says! Reading and seeing all the posts about the UGD's was fun though, same with the forumcaster, mostly i love just hanging out and reading about gear, from some of the friendliest guys on the planet.

Hard, almost impossible question, Been listening to alot of Weezer, and NOFX lately, but fave track at this very moment is When the night by Bedouin Soundclash.

Dinosaurs will die by NOFX (the only song i bother plugging my wah in for)
6. what is your fondest memory regaurding playing the guitar/bass?
Playing in my first band with my best friends, the first time we really nailed a song.

Standing onstage next to Robbie Krieger, playing Roadhouse Blues at the Coconut Teazer. Being put up in a Hotel by Seymour Duncan for UGD.
Trading licks with George Lynch. When I played a show with Bruce Kulick, and he told me he loved my playing. Playing a show at the Whiskey and seeing half the members of Guns N Roses there to see us, then going to Gilby's house and drinking all his booze. Meeting EVH in an elevator and telling him he owes me money for all the cassettes I wore out, trying to cop his licks! :laugh2: True story - he thought it was funny!

1. what music style do you play
On my own I play a variety of rock and a little blues. On guitar I have played a lot of contemporary praise music, and still fill in on the bass occasionally. My old guitar teacher acutally was able to pull some decent country out of me. Maybe I should practice it, but I'm not a fan.
2. what guitar(s)/equipment(rig) do you currently use (or use most often)?
My main axe was a Jackson Soloist (MIA, duh) with the stock JB/59 until the lemurs stole it. I also have a MIA Peavey Predator, hotrodded with a CC/HR/CR combo. I play my electrics into a JJ loaded Fender Blues Jr. often with the aid of a Behringer VAMP2. I have a Fender Gemini and 67 Gibson LG-0 acoustics and a SD MagMic.
3. what instruments/equipment are you currently GASing for?
Currently, I'm looking for a Marshall or another Blues Jr modded by Voodoo. I need a 3-single loaded Strat (I never thought I'd say that). I'd also like some Hamers and Heritages and probably another Jackson or two. I could use a good bass for when I need to play at church. My cousin's Rouge just doesn't cut it.

I'm really stuck in the 80's right now, so I don't listen to much newer stuff very often. I like a few of the newer rock and metal bands, and I've been listening to Mark Kendall's new CD. If I had to pick a specific song it would probably be something off that or the new Stryper album. The music I listen to changes about as often as the weather here in Arkansas, so ask me tomorrow and it might be different.

I really don't know many songs all the way through, I've only bothered to learn basic riffs and melodies. I know a lot of CCR and Eagles songs as they were some of my favorites when I was first learning guitar. I'll often play 316 by Van Halen when I'm trying out a new guitar or pickups. I guess it's that one.
6. what is your fondest memory regaurding playing the guitar/bass
My fondest memory was probably playing in the praise band at the church I attended during college. I don't think I've ever had more fun or been more blessed than when I was playing there.

Selling my 100W Fender Twin. I still had my stock Crapiphone then, so I couldn't appreciate it. I needed the money, but I really wish I still had that amp.

5. Vicious betrayal by All that remains and my own songs (BloodWake)
6. My fondest memory is getting in front of people and unleashing some metal
7. Smashing my first ever acoustic and then smashing my first electric.
