Time For A Pedal Board

Re: Time For A Pedal Board

wow nice pedal pad

GUY THAT INVENTED is always helpful

OK do I want a reverb pedal for when I want some verb? If so, which? Holy Grail?

Re: Time For A Pedal Board

Thanks Olin,
Regarding verb, you said you're running a Bogner, correct? I don't know much about those, but I'm assuming there's some kind of FX loop, right? If so, you definitely wanna get your verb through there. In my experience, verb always sounds better AFTER preamplification, which is what your loop will give you. Since you have the G-Major, you've got what you need. TC's verbs are beautiful, you should find what you want with no problems at all :6:

Re: Time For A Pedal Board

I'm with GuitarStv, the Pedaltrain Pro is a hell of a board and pretty inexpensive for what you get. :fing2:

Re: Time For A Pedal Board

What about volume pedals ? You're missing out on a few options if you don't stick a few of them on your board: control gain before it hits your amp, control gain before it hits your pedals and control master when placed in the loop.

Also, you could have a few pedals modified to take expression pedals: the speed and depth of your phasers, chorusses and vibes. And it would be very neat to have a "blend" pedal, you know ? You stick connect a pedal to it and then you can control with your foot how much of the effect you want to mix in with the sound. This is especially handy for graphic or (semi) parametric equalizers and really cool with reverb.

You know the Yngwie stuff where when he sustains a note, there's a very sudden heap of reverb that fades away as quickly as it came ? That's the sort of thing.

Re: Time For A Pedal Board

OHHHHHHHH MY GOD

I couldnt reach all that

So here is where I am at...

Tu2 Tuner to
Line6 Filter Mod with Exp Pedal to
Fulltone OCD to
DS1 to
Boss Phaser to
Boss Chorus to
Line 6 Delay

I took off the Fulldrive 2 - too big and redundant. I will either go back to that or get an Octavia on - possibly a Proctavia or the Fulltone UO.

I also decided against the Univibe. I find the Dunlop makes my sound too fat and creamy and loses cut. It seems for now it mpstly gets used to do Hendrix impersonations, so I don't think I need it. The Boss Phaser is much better for funk and reggae. I will get a Microvibe anyway and sell the Dunlop.

I have a volume pedal but I will marinate on whether I need it for now.

I have considered a Boss EQ. I am limited on space which is a GOOD THING. I want a usabl board. I have some major stuff coming up and i want options ready in time.

I want some PT with my board so it doesn't feel foreign. I want it easy to use.
