Tone and Volume Pots

hey...
i was wondering if i could use 500K pots with single coils? would that alter the sound much? and what tone pots should i use for them also?

I personally think 500K pots can really help to open up some mid-heavy muddy single coils.

My Duncan Custom Single Coils (13K appx) sounded awful with 250Ks, but with 500Ks all around, it kept the fullness and opened up the top end alot.

Same with my Tele Hot pickup.

And 500K's work wonders on neck soapbars.

I use 250K tone pots and a 500K volume pot for my ssl-5's in my Strat, sounds good to me, give it a try.
