Tone bypass using push-pull knob?

Alright, I've never used a push-pull pot before, so I'm not really sure as to the extent of their capabilities. Is it possible to rig up a push pull so it will bypass the tone circuit when the knob is pushed and, and activate the tone circuit when the knob is pulled out?

Yes...very easily done. The tone control or tone cap ultimately connects to ground. Just wire the switch to connect or disconnect the tone pot or tone cap to ground. Lew

Awesome. Thanks Lew!

Great answer, Lew.

Remember that all the push/pull pot does is open/close a circuit. So anything switchable should be possible with it.

I use them for splitting the coils on my humbuckers.
