tone pot/capacitor value

I just had a tone pot and capacitor replaced for two pickups I bought 20+ years ago and am not sure if they are strat or tele, but they are humbuckers that work with an on-on-on switch for three options. They are white and the pole pieces are not adjustable. They output to some on-board electronics (compressor, tube-sound fuzz) and also to the tone pot/capacitor. I have no independent voume control, only the gain controls from the two circuits. The circuits can be completely switched out, leaving just the tone control. The repair guy used a 250k pot and a .05 capacitor. He insisted on the .05 and not a .047. Is this ok as it is, or do I need to change something? Is the pot value ok as it is, also?

welcome to the forum!!

i assume that he just replaced the pot with the same value that was in there so it should be fine. the difference between a .05 and .047 is within the tolerance of the cap so they are basically interchangeable in guitar circuts
