Tone zone

Thinking about getting a tone zone for my squier strat. Can anyone with experience with one inform me of what to expect? Would be greatly appreciated.

Thick and syrupy as it gets IMO. I'm mostly a ceramic guy, but if ceramics didn't exist I'd probably have a TZ in most of my bridges.
I like the JB also, but the TZ has always pleased me a bit more and sits better with most of my other gear choices..
I'd like to try a Pegasus someday too, along with the Breed.

I wouldn't do a tone zone unless your guitar is thinner and brighter sounding. The norton is a tonezone with less bass and more harmonics.

What are you trying to do with the guitar?

Dimarzio has tons of variation on the fat sounding humbucker.

I liked the Tone Zone a lot in my Charvel So Cal. It's very vocal sounding, and more versatile than I thought it would be. I ran it with just a volume (no tone) and like that didn't find it too dark or muddy.

I'm putting it in the bridge position of my squier affinity strat. It does seem a Little thin and definitely bright. I have a fast track 1 in the neck and a super distortion for strat placed directly against the (soon to be) tone zone for a "middle" pickup. I'm going to be using the guitar to play alot of punk rock and some ska. Thanks for the feedback guys.
